T-ara’s Jiyeon and Hwang Jae-gyun Finalize Divorce After Two Years of Marriage
On November 21, a representative from the law firm Taeseong, which handled Jiyeon’s divorce proceedings, confirmed to HeraldPOP, stating, “It is true that Jiyeon has finalized her divorce.”
According to a report from the same day, the divorce mediation between Jiyeon and Hwang Jae-gyun was successfully concluded on November 20 at the Seoul Family Court. On that day, legal representatives for both parties attended the court and completed the mediation process, finalizing the divorce.
Earlier, on October 5, Jiyeon’s legal representative, lawyer Choi Yuna, stated, “The two sides could not overcome their differences, leading to a separation and mutual agreement for divorce. A petition for divorce mediation has been submitted to the Seoul Family Court.”
Jiyeon also expressed, “I apologize for the bad news. We are proceeding with the divorce mediation by mutual agreement. I will return with a better version of myself in the future.”
Jiyeon and Hwang Jae-gyun got married in December 2022 but have now ended their marriage after just 2 years.
